It’s not. It has nothing to do with freedom of religion, or freedom, or even religion, or even schools. It has to do with “picking a fight”. Getting people riled up and divided. As the articles state, he doesn’t even have the authority to order the districts to do that anyway, they have autonomy in their own curriculum. Best case scenario, he’s media whoring. But more probably, he’s just acting the part he’s been given to generate some national headlines to trigger people who identify as leftists.
Just like June gay pride stuff isn’t about rights, pride, or gays. It’s about triggering people who identify as rightists.
Both rightists and leftists are like playing pieces on the chessboard, obediently doing what they think they are supposed to do.
